What this is for
Three chapters need pulling out of the collected volume separately. Only the signature page of the contract. Pages 4 to 6 and 12 of the catalogue.
You give the pages either by clicking them in the preview or as a reference like 1-3,7,9-. Both show the same thing - an open end like 9- means "to the end".
Then you decide what comes out: one file with all the chosen pages, or one file per range. For 1-3,7,9- that is three files rather than one with six pages - exactly the difference people mean when they want chapters pulled out separately.
Text stays text. Pages are carried across as objects; fonts, links and searchability survive.
Common questions
No. Everything runs in your browser. For contracts especially, that is the difference that matters.
Pages 1 to 3, then page 7, then everything from page 9 to the end. The open end saves you looking up the page count.
For 1-3,7,9- you get either one file with all six pages, or three files: one with pages 1-3, one with page 7, one with the rest.
The tool says what is wrong with it. For 7-3 it asks whether you meant 3-7; for a page beyond the document it names the actual page count.
Yes. Pages are carried across as objects, not redrawn as pictures.
